Check with your local library and/or city government. Maybe start a petition or something. The one horse town I was born in and grew up near was home of two minor celebrities. One was a naturlist/biologist and another a tv star from the 1950′s. Among other things the city gov put up a small sign for each one at the city line saying ‘home town of whoever’ which shouldn’t cost too much to put up. I think a plaque up in the library would be a better idea for this guy. Tell ‘em you’ll bite ‘em in the arse if they don’t do it!
