Last month, I chose not to renew my contract with an epublisher I’d worked with. I was unhappy with the lack of contact from the company in regards to questions – I would only receive responses to my queries (of which there were damn few, let me tell ya) if I posted them to their chat list, or cc’d other parties (such as my darlin’ Louise).<\/p>\n
So, it took two weeks for a finalization on my release from contract. I was told I’d have the final royalty statement to that date (late October) within a couple of days. A week or so ago, I received it, finally, but only until the end of September. I re-sent the publisher\/owner my paypal information – AGAIN which makes 4 times in total – and haven’t heard a thing since.<\/p>\n
There is at least two weeks of possible sales unaccounted for. Not to mention that I believe there were more sales at Fictionwise than are listed, although my jump from 70-something to under 20 in the rankings might have been something other than sales.<\/p>\n
I have been told before though, that you move UP the list, as you sell.<\/p>\n
Short of weekly or daily emails to this woman, and contacting a lawyer for what will likely amount to under $100 – any thoughts?<\/p>\n
