Personally I feel the publishing industry is going to die or at least mutate incredibly and it doesn’t really matter what the quality of the books are. But writers do need a peer review process. But it will still be okay, because the market will take care of the hasty pudding, just as it has always done. Only now it’s really the market, which is millions of readers, and not the “market” of a few dozen agents and editors.
