*nodnod* I would have, now, passed it off as SP had I not been able to move, and/or my grandmother hadn’t reacted the way she did. I have a distinct feeling (which I can’t substantiate with any of the others, as they’re deceased now…) that my aunt may have mentioned something at some point. She was very sensitive, and spent some time at the house.

The pop and flash instances have all happened when I was fully awake – although once or twice as I was first dropping off to sleep. Naturally that’d startle me enough to stay awake for a while afterwards. There had been only rare instances since my grandparent’s old house was torn down… and only one or two since I moved from there. I often wonder if it was something in that house, or on that spot. The new house is on the same yard, but not in the same place…

Anyway, about the SP. When the episode is particularly strong, I will get something very similar to what you are describing with the flash. It actually continues to happen when I close my eyes, too…very faint.
