The celebrity panel of Cherie Priest, Jennifer Pelland, and Edmund Schubert has spoken.<\/p>\n

1st Place – “Curve Balls in the Rift” by Durand Welsh<\/p>\n

Runner Up – “Post Apocalypse” by James W. Langolf<\/p>\n

The panel wanted to give Honorable Mentions to the following stories:
\n“Freak Museum” by Jackie Gamber
\n“Shiners” by Joel Arnold
\n“Pest Control” by Robby Sparks
\n“Charlie’s Voice” by Bev Vincent<\/p>\n

Again, I’d like to thank Cherie Priest, Jennifer Pelland, and Edmund Schubert for taking the time to judge the finalists. A big thanks goes out to Gill Ainsworth who helped me read through 152 entries.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the biggest thank you goes out to all the writers who submitted their stories. No doubt that this year was the best crop of entries yet.
