Catching up, and at least this post will have the right week number in both title AND the promo that goes to the social networks. *facepalm* Ssshhhh, I has the dumb sometimes.

\nI’m going to go on a little rant, so if you don’t want to read my thoughts on gift-giving, charity and the like, scoot on your way. <\/p>\n

Don’t give gifts, donate time or money to a charity, just don’t help people in general if it means you think it gives you the right to force your beliefs or lifestyle on the recipient.<\/p>\n

If more than one thank you is required for you to feel good about yourself giving birthday or Christmas gifts, rethink why you’re giving them. If you’re giving them only to see what is given in return, particularly if you know the person can’t afford a return gift, again – think about why you’re giving the gift. If snide comments and actions regarding appearance, eating habits, health and hygiene make you feel superior, maybe you shouldn’t be around the people you’re putting down, and you need to rethink why you want them in your life.<\/p>\n

Gift-giving, charity etc. should be done from the heart, without measure of what may or may not come afterwards.<\/p>\n
