It’s been a hell of a week and a half since I returned to the desk, so to speak. I mean, seriously, I can not believe how much I have to be thankful for, and how many dear colleagues and friends stepped up and helped out. I hope they know how much I appreciate them!

I’ve recently celebrated my 42nd birthday, which means as of this past weekend, I have been pagan for 30 years. That’s a long time for anything, never mind something that needed to be tucked into a dark closet in the back of the quietest, most private part of my mind for fifteen of those years.

I’ve got a line on a submissions call, so I thought I’d add elements of what they’re looking for into the prompts for this week. Something post-apocalyptic, but touching and meaningful.
