It just won’t be the same…

Discovery has announced that Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie (Deadliest Catch) has passed on at age 53.

The show just won’t be the same without Capt. Phil. He was the picture of what I’ve always figured north sea fishermen should be.

My heart goes out to the family – particularly the boys as they all seemed so close, even when bickering – and the crew of the Cornelia Marie.

    Really? Holy Crap! I don’t even watch the show that often…..that sucks God speed to the family. I Hate it when someone dies…even if I didn’t know them..it still makes me feel bad :’(

    It’s tough to get to know folks, even through the sometimes impersonal TV, and lose them too soon. Hope the waters are friendly, Cap’n.
