What’s in a name? WINNERS!
Updated January 10th with winners names…
Turns out I needed more names than I thought I did, so I’ve chosen the top two bunches that were sent, and each winner will receive their prizes and get tuckerized!
Will and Melany, I’ll be emailing you later today… congratulations!
I know what’s in a name… for the right person, it could be:
– a copy of Ante Mortem
– a copy of Courting Morpheus
– being Tuckerized in my current WiP
Want to know how that’ll happen? Well – right now I need several surnames for my WiP. The person who enters the names I feel are right for my characters will win the above prizes. I know they’re not much, but they’re something… and come on, this’ll be fun!
Everyone can enter – it’s the names I’ll ‘feel out’ as right. Here are the details, or as many as I can give right now, anyway.
Irish – 3
English – 3
Welsh – 1
Russian Mennonite – 2
French – 1
The setting for this story is 1945-2012 Canadian mid-to-western provinces, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Oregon. Only one English name is required for the US states.
Contest ends Friday, and I’ll choose sometime over the weekend.
(btw, if it helps with the Welsh name at all, the character bears a striking resemblance to Victor Perez circa Swept From the Sea)
Edited to add: email your suggestions to jodi@jodilee.ca with Surname Contest in the subject.
Good luck, and thanks!
