Two months ago, I wanted nothing more than to see the arse end of Claire Peacock, I was sick of her manipulating Ashley the way she was. She was starting to remind me greatly of Tracy, only without the sneer.

Tonight, I admit to teary eyes as she made her escape with the boys, just dodging the DIs waiting for her outside the front of the pub. Personally, I agree with the fictional bunch at the Rovers Return – Tracy deserved it; Claire deserves a medal, not arresting.

One thing I can say, after my deep disappointment in the producers/writers choice not to memorialize Ashley after the tram crash, I am glad that they shot her going past the butcher shop, Elliot & Son sign lit as it was.

End of an era. I say, end of an era.

I’m really loving the Sophie/Sian storyline right now. They are so cute together, and it’s about time Sophie gives some back – maybe Sally’ll notice she exists now. Frankly, Kevin’s being a bit of a prat, treating his marital family like crap over the failed-trap-child Molly squeezed out. Granted, it’s not baby Jack’s fault Molly was a conniving c… I literally cheered when she died. I cheered harder when Tyrone punched Kevin and threw him into her grave. Fitting. But then I think wow the bald-faced, steel nuts Sally must have to look Kevin in the eye and say she didn’t have an affair with Ian Davenport. Omg, I thought I’d split a sinus when she did that. Kevin really should have nailed that coffin shut by dragging Rosie’s tarty butt in front of her. Both of them know the truth, and whether Rosie’d cop to it or not, her face would. She’s not smart enough to hide it once it’s brought out.

And the Tyrone/Sally storyline – THAT should go somewhere. That was just kinda awesome. Can’t you just picture Sally trying to make that pig’s ear into a silk purse? *Snicker* Tyrone’s a better man than she’s ever had, anyway. Well, except Martin.

Too bad it wasn’t John doing a runner. So sick of his storylines…Fizz and baby Hope deserve much better. Like, oh… Kirk. Dumb as a rug, but he treated her like a queen.

With Janice, Michelle and Graeme leaving in the months ahead, I have to think things are going to get kinda boring. Then again, with Tracy back (ewww), and that skanky creature (Becky’s sister) slithering back to the cobbles with David, I may just end up skimming the show rather than watching. Frankly, the wrong people are leaving. Too many nasties on one tiny street could kill the momentum they’ve built up this winter.

PS – I know I’m supposed to be eight months behind with the rest of Canada, but I’m not. nyah nyah!
