Squee-Worthy Week in Review
The early list for the Stoker Awards has been posted, and we send hearty congratulations and continued good luck to our dear Gregory L. Hall, Brock Cooper, and Wrath James White for their preliminary nominations for their works in each of our imprints:
Greg Hall – At The End of Church Street (Belfire)
Brock Cooper – The Devil is in the Details (TNBP)
Wrath James White – Vicious Romantic (Needfire)
As well, Needfire managing editor, Rich Ristow is alongside Wrath in the poetry category for his title, Wood Life, from Snuff Books – and Bryan D. Dietrich, our next Needfire poet (with two forthcoming titles) is also in the same category for his Love Craft from Finishing Line Press.
Our biggest, most sincere thank-yous to everyone who has supported, read, cared about and cheered for Belfire and company this year. To see our names up there yesterday made me giddy. From the bottom of this darkened heart – thank you. We’re so glad you enjoyed those words!

I completed an edit for a wonderful novel, 7 Habits of Highly Infective People by William Todd Rose, releasing from Permuted Press in future months. Todd made me blush to the roots of my hair with his kind words…
Thank you so much for all the work you’ve put in on this. I hear a lot of authors bitch and moan about their editors, but I truly believe that you are helping me make this as strong of a work as possible. You are an awesome editor and are appreciated.
Thank you again, Todd! And thanks too, to Jacob at Permuted Press for giving me the opportunity to work on another of the wonderful forthcoming titles.
Eternity: Fire & Ice received a great review this week as well – actually, I think it was posted last week – the 100 Romances Project is doing awesome work, and I appreciate their taking the time to review my little serial.
A fast and cute read. Once you get into the story you can tell where things are going or so you think. A great twist at the end. I will be looking forward to seeing the next book.

And last, occasionally I buy a lottery ticket. I figured the new ‘Lotto Max’ that we’ve got up here in Canada was worth a go once it hit $50 million, and so I picked one up, and it was stuck to the fridge for three months, pretty much forgotten, until we were cleaning last week. I took it in, and wow – we won $100! That’s Care’s trip to Winnipeg for the sleep clinic completely paid for then. Huge relief, believe me!
I think I might just try it again, when it gets back to $50mil. hehehe

Dude, lottery score!!
And score on all the other stuff, for both you and Belfire. I have Eternity on my iPad now. Mmm, can’t wait…
hehehe thanks Katey!
Let me know what you think of Fire & Ice – I’ve been toying with the idea of posting a longer section next time.
