Catch that wom-
… I’ve been that busy lately.
I am *knock-on-wood* 300 pages from being completely caught up. I was 100 pages from it, but then I dug out the re-edits for TNBP and while that’s not technically editing, it’s formatting, so it counts. No really, it does.
Fine, be that way. Realistically, in the edits department, I’m about 150 pages from being caught up.
It feels good.
In January, Belfire released The Light Side of Dark, by Voni Ryan. It was really hard to classify this collection by two wonderful ladies (Voni Ryan is a pseudonym for authors Toni Cantrell and Violet L. Ryan) as the genres flip through horror, to humor, to sci-fi, to twisted. A splendid mash-up of the favorites of their short story career.
And myself, I released Imbolc a fair bit lit to the planning party. Still, it’s having a good run and it’s not like folks can only buy it during the Imbolc season!
This month at Belfire, the final installment of Bedlam Unleashed (Bedlam is Dead) by Steven Shrewsbury and Peter Welmerink. I’m sad to see this one end, but I also know it won’t be long before we see the complete omnibus. With a surprise. Maybe.
In the wtf? department, we’ve had Rumors of My Death by Gina Ranalli; not Gina’s usual fare, but such a wonderfully twisted story that everyone will love it – and recognize some of Dizzy Aster’s bad day from their own lives. Okay, maybe without Bullwinkle. Get the book, you’ll get it that reference. <|;-) New Bedlam: Town Archives Vol.1 also made a re-debut this week, in Kindle and through Smashwords. This first volume is illustrated by the admirable Danny Evarts of Shroud Publishing, and contains all of the material from our first year online. Volume 2 releases next month!
And releasing at the end of next week, a brilliant historical romance, Maiden’s Promise, by Tracy DeVore. She’s done such an awesome job telling the story, bringing not only the characters but the settings to life in such a way I had goosebumps and tears. I also had fun putting the cover together. I was so thrilled to find the perfect image of a ship!
Personally, I had the release of Into a Long Ago Future, both in print and ebook (though I’d originally planned only for ebook…). I even used it as a test-vehicle for Goodreads Giveaways, and it went well enough, I’ve begun using it for Belfire as well.
And, I’ve just released the latest in the Creating New Pagan Family Traditions collection, Ostara. It’s up and available for Kindle and through Smashwords. It’s very purple. You can’t miss it; at least, you can’t miss the cover. Rather than put up a recipe or craft for the promo on the main site, I held back the word search puzzle, and posted it. Ostara Word Search
It’s been a crazy-busy month, so I hope folks’ll forgive me for not being around every week… I *will* get caught up here, too!
