Waka waka waka
This has been a very long, very trying summer. I am glad to see the back-end of it, let me tell you! Even though there were some ups, there were a lot of terrible downs. And let-downs, a lot of let-downs; the silver lining there is that I know now who I can turn to when I need to stop being the strong one, the dead one. Bless ‘em!
Inevitably, things run their course, right? And here at casa de crazy, the good is finally starting to out-run the bad.
The strange energy in the house seems to have left the building (knock on wood) and we’re starting to settle into a new routine over here. Rhia is settling in, Care is settling with the idea of having her sister back in the house, I am settling in with the idea that it could be several months before things are completely even-keel.
Belfire is nearly caught up, we’re still trying to raise funds for TNBP, and by the end of this week, we should be done with the major-arsed fall clean and reno (minor) of this house. Yes, that’s right – another down-sizing! Mwahahaha. Ahem. The rest of this is pretty much pure fantasy, but I can dream, and I can get my ass in gear and get it done!
By the end of the month, I also want to be three Belfire books ahead, rooms switched around and settled and have my Yule plans straightened away so that I can spend November taking a much needed break. Only it won’t be a real break, it’ll be a working break; I’ll be sitting at the little grind-stone. I am in need of some serious writing time, and NaNoWriMo is my outlet. I need to put Belfire and TNBP (mostly) aside for the 30 days and just get lost in my New Bedlam or maybe Eternity.
In December, it’ll be back to the big grind-stone in a major way. I’ll start taking on freelance projects again at that time, as well as squaring away the TNBP stuff, whichever way it goes.
A girl can dream right?
In the meantime, I will be resuming the Writersphere prompt posts, with strange and wonderful images, inspiring and weird phrases once a week. Those’ll be Wednesdays, starting next week. Please feel free to comment below if you’ve got some suggestions!

Have a good’un…
