We’re back – and with prompt!
For the past two months, nearly three actually, I’ve been having serious computer issues, which has resulted in Belfire and myself being out of commission. I can’t tell you how annoying it is to start a bunch of promos, begin final stages on files… only to have the computer die. I can’t tell you, because you really don’t come here for that kind of language (or do you?) and besides… most of you know of what I speak.
All of my high and lofty plans for catching up, getting ahead and even giving NaNo a whirl again this year have been pretty much blown out of the water. This means that on top of holiday prep and cleaning, I’m going to be digging in to edits, covers, and releases like no other time in my life. AND – NaNo.
I’m going to be scheduling a month of prompt posts for while I’m gone doing my thing. Visual as well as text, and twice weekly. One for regular folks and another one for the insane that attempt this crazy month of word count hell.
Interestingly, the NaNo gods have given southern Manitoba it’s own region, meaning we can finally feel more a part of the overall picture. I never did make it to any of the city write-ins, and I was late to the unofficial one I managed to leave for two years ago. Still, having a local forum with local folks to talk to gives me inspiration to work harder this time ’round. I’m looking forward to getting out there and meeting some fellow NaNo-tobans!
As it’s Friday, and technically the first day for a prompt post, here you go:
It’s night, a full moon hidden behind trees and clouds above. You’re in a park, a dirt path branching off from where you stand. To your left, a tiny flame beckons to you far into the darkness; to your right, it is darker than dark. Which way do you go?
