8 of 52 Weeks – Socket Woe
I’m late this week. Not by much I suppose, and at least you’re not going to get a double posting tomorrow when it comes time for the prompt. And this time I have what I think is an excellent excuse.
Wisdom tooth extraction. Lower jaw.
I’m not particularly in the mood right now to write anything spectacular. I’m falling behind a bit on my editing projects, so I want to go work on those this afternoon, but I don’t want to just post something short and probably only partly coherent, so… let’s see.
How about this? I have a piece of Aida cloth that is waiting for something to go on it, and it’s a project that I want to donate to Elizabeth Massie’s Hand to Hand Vision.
Here are some quotes that I’ve selected to be part of the project, only you folks can pick which one actually gets done in stitches. Use the comments below to cast your vote. You no longer need to register to post comments, but you do need to have a name and email address, and the posts don’t go public until I approve them… I’ll also select one person to receive a framed copy of the project!
A) A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.
B) I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I ended up where I needed to be. – Douglas Adams
C) Not all those who wander are lost. – JRR Tolkien
D) Take me as I am, or watch me as I go.
So – have at it!

Consider checking out and supporting an aspiring artisan blacksmith, currently looking to get funded for a course with a master blacksmith. Details are on the campaign page, including the perk where I offer my editing services for up to 95k words, for an $80 donation! And there are two of them!
