1 of 52 Weeks – How’d I Get Here?
I can’t thank the folks in the tech support and abuse ‘cubicles’ at A Small Orange for all the help and support – both tech and moral – they’ve given in the last two weeks. What a freaking weekend… but I’ve learned two things from this entire debacle.
Before I go into the gaudy details of the weekend troubles, I’ve got a trivia answer for you!
How many of Shakespeare’s plays have a ghost? The answer is four: MacBeth, Hamlet, Richard III, and Julius Caesar. Did you get it?
So, things I learned this weekend. One, I can put my trust and money behind a company who is right on top of things across the board. A Small Orange suspended my account as soon as there was hinky business going on behind scenes. Previous to that, they were on top of other issues, and within four hours of my initial contact, a major issue was located and repaired. Sunday, after I found out about the suspension, I had a reply within a few hours, and until 4am, Monday morning (when I finally had to call it quits for the night) helped me work on the problem.
Two, I found a bit of faith in myself, to get these things done without someone (tangible, anyway) holding my hand. Plenty of hand-holding from ASO obviously, but it was just me on this end.
I’m still feeling rather shell-shocked, but at least my nerves calmed down once a reason was discovered, and a solution was readied to put into action. As soon as I was concious, I logged on and sent off the email to ask to have the access granted again, and I was off. Two hours later, it was done.
Among other things.
I have my suspicions, of course I do. I’m pretty sure some of the hints dropped since Christmas are pointing directly to the person that did this. I’ve given the information I had, and what happens happens.
I’ve also had a little discussion with Technia, Goddess of Technology. <};^) Karma is a bitch, and bitch - in this case - is spelled BYCH.
Until next week, don’t forget to get in touch if you want to promote something next week!
