Elaborate plans were made for February, which have been just slightly sidetracked by a scattered household. Youngest is busy housesitting, which means our menagerie has decided that I’m their favorite person. When I’m home. I’ve escaped here and there. Well, that was kind of obvious in the past two weeks’ scattered postings, wasn’t it?

I don’t like this. It’s hard to work with cats whining, dogs staring and that bird making that noise. A lot of that noise. Except when I try talking to him, and then it’s all “I don’t see you!” and turning his back to me. Pffft. Birds.

It’s fairly obvious that I’ve been working not only on editing and a small amount of freelancing lately, but also on my own writing. I had definite ideas about how I’d use my time in February, and it’s not been working out as well as planned. Unfortunately… it looks as though Galleys Between, Big Blue Shirt, Windygates, and the Into the Mirror re-write are all on hold for…well, now.

My creativity has channelled itself into a single work it seems, and that is fan fiction in the Thief game-world. If you click that, it’ll take you to a Youtube walkthrough of the first game. The ‘tuber also has a walkthrough of the following two games, which is actually where my story takes place (well, after them, but involving them as well).

I’ve well over 8k into this now. I don’t know exactly where it came from, and I’m not really liking spending this much time on it. BUT – every time I open another file – EVERY TIME – I stare blankly at the page until Garrett’s voice whispers in my ear, and I’m off into the sneaksie world of a master thief.

In the meantime, I’m off to either write or escape the wild horde!
