Final ST-Updates Posting

2 March 2009 No Comment

This post was just sent to the ST-Updates newsletter list at Yahoogroups. The list will close as of March 6th, 2009, after nearly 10 years in some form or other… it all began with Triskele Pagan Newsletter (in print!) in 1999.

Good morning, everyone.

It has been a year since I sent out any form of newsletter to speak of. In this year, many changes of have taken place, and I believe it’s time to let the newsletter go. What started out as Triskele Pagan Newsletter in 1999 has come full circle, almost to the day.

I’ve become far too disillusioned with the pagan community in general (but mostly within 100 miles of home) to continue on with a specifically pagan zine of any sort. Equally, I’ve become far too wary of the publishing community in general to have a publishing-specific zine. I’d rather not continue with the combination, either. Let’s face it… ten years is a long time.

I want to thank each and every one of you for being there, reading the silliness when I did post, and sticking around when I didn’t.

**This very same post will be X-posted to my blog, and every person that posts a comment will be entered to win a post-prize, the last contest ST-Updates and myself will be running.**

The list itself will shut down on Friday, March 6th.

I have started yet another little venture, The New Bedlam Project.

A webzine of short fiction and occasional poetry, spotted with some non-fic here and there from the permanent ‘residents’ of my sleepy little town… Well, come on down for a visit and you’ll see what I mean.

The official launch date is April 1st – seriously. Joining the residents (myself, Louise Bohmer, Brandon Layng and Jeff Parish) will be Steven Shrewsbury, Catherine Gardner, Barry Napier, R. Scott McCoy and an honored poet (tba). I’m sure you’ll love it… but dress warm. One never knows what the weather will be like.
