Writersphere Reloaded (v.7-ish)

26 September 2009 3 Comments

The last Friday of every month, I’ll be posting a new Writersphere. I may or may not add another posting during a month, depending on whether or not there is a lot of news to relate.

This week:

The Funky Werepig returns from Horrorfind with someone else’s shoes and what might be damning evidence to dispose of. Or at least, a handful of funny-ha-has and giggles to be shared during the show. Stop by, call in and give Baloo’s butt a pinch from me. This week’s special guests are friends from Liquid Imagination. They’re celebrating a year online!

Louise Bohmer’s The Black Act is now back in print and available through Amazon.com! No one should pass this book by, and I’m not saying that just because I was one of the editors. Louise did an amazing, mind-blowing job creating a huge world of her own, where witches and the Fae play twisted games in the shadowed forests.
The Black Act – back, and just a bit darker than before. No, really. Greg Hall said so – he said it’s haunted.

52Stitches, the print anthology, is now available from Strange Publications! Aaron Polson (editorial god and writer phenom) collected a years worth of flash fiction that defies explanation. Included authors are Cate Gardner, Blu Gilliand, Jeremy Kelly and more.

52 Stitches – online!

Dead Bells Anthology is still open for submissions! The world has come to a silent halt on New Year’s Day, 2010. Protagonists wake up to find themselves the sole-survivor… or are they?

I just have to say, Doc Pus and the family at the Library of Horror/Library of the Living Dead are amazing people. There are a ton of books just released and/or in the pipeline for the coming months. Doc is a wildman with a plan and a bottle of nitrous oxide, and he’s going to convert everyone into zombie-loving family members in no time. Kudos to the LotLD/LoH folks that made it to Horror Realm to meet and greet and eat!

The New Bedlam Project is currently in fundraising mode – meaning any sales of swag, ad space or donations to the cause will result in my dying my hair in streaks. Again. I know I swore I’d never do a repeat, but what the hell. It’s only hair… Right? Visit the website for donation/purchasing information and the forum to vote on the colors that are going in.

And as always, don’t forget to stop by The New Bedlam Project ‘zine and read some fantastic short fiction. We’ve also got some kickass contests running, so get in there!

WOW! That’s an amazing amount of pimapge.

So, you write, you edit and now I discover, you design cover art too. I’m on my knees doing the whole not worthy thing.
