Is breá liom tú go dtí an deireadh. Mo chroí, mo anam, mo shaol, i gcónaí.

It’s just a word, dude. It’s just a word.

Did I miss something? Was there a coup on planet earth? Are we all speaking a different language now?

;) Nope, I celebrated an anniversary of sorts, and every year, at one blog or the other, I post something directed to a an old friend, probably one of the best I’ve ever had (in person). I don’t know if he has email or whatever, and after about a year, I lost track of him all together. So, I post to one of my blogs, just in case he happens across it.

He’ll know, when/if he sees it. The translation is:
I love you ’til the end. My heart, my soul, my life, always.

    What language is that?

It’s Gaelige, Irish gaelic. I used to have the phrase in Cymraeg (Welsh) too, but I can’t find my notes…LOL

Welsh would be cool, but you’ve got to have a fair amount of phlegm built up to work with that language too much. There aren’t many you could strangle yourself on, but you could proabably make a good attempt with Welsh and Yiddish.
