Times have changed…w/soundtrack
Times have changed, but the past has a way of coming back around, grabbing you by the throat and giving you a bit of a shake. With the stuff the last week or so, I’ve been moody and whatever, so I decided it was time to change the website. Hope you like!
I Skyped with some friends tonight, and as we were signing off I decided as tired as I was, I needed to call an old friend. We talked for well…hours. I needed his perspective on something I’d done recently (I found out someone I care[d] about very deeply is on Facebook) and he knows the backstory inside and out. And upside down and sideways…
But neither of us are the same people we were so long ago. I know I’m not. I doubt he is. Oh hell. *sigh*
Really, other than re-analyzing the situation, nothing was resolved. He insists I’m reading too much into coincidence, and I think there is something there. I did a reading, and this was the result, Interpret them as you will. I will note here that the stones I use to represent -the other party- when I’m using those have been far warmer lately than in the past several years. Coincidence? I don’t know.
The card at the top left represents how you see yourself.
Temperance: Calm and restraint. Self-control, patience and tact in handling situations. The act of applying balanced spiritual and psychic forces to physical life.
The card at the top right represents how you see the other party.
King of Wands: The essence of fire behaving as air, such as lightning: A great and daring leader who inspires others to rise to challenges alongside him. An artist who can take hold of an idea and make it a reality through bold action. One who is forceful, charismatic, and honest, leading by example, but unafraid to invest authority in others. A dashing and magnetic personality, carrying authority naturally, and striking at the world with swiftness and grace.
The card in the center left represents how you feel about the other party.
Ace of Cups: The seed of a new relationship or spiritual journey – perhaps as yet unseen. An opportunity for joy, contentment, fertility, or enlightenment. Coming to understand the emotional needs of those around you. May represent an unexpected message, a chance meeting, or the start of a friendship or romance.
The card in the center right represents what stands between you and the other party.
The Hierophant: Faith in tradition and the old school. A justified and ancient source of power. Being supportive, sympathetic and loyal. Receiving instructions, learning, guidance or inspiration. The ability to hear a higher or inner voice. May also indicate a religious ritual, such as a marriage or an initiation.
The card in the lower left represents how the other party sees you.
The Empress: The essence of femininity and matriarchy. Creativity, productivity, and the foundation of civilization. Initiative and practical actions that promote prosperity, comfort and luxury. Fruitfulness and motherhood.
The card in the lower right represents what the other party feels about you.
Seven of Swords (Futility): An opportunity to withdraw from a hopeless situation and fight another day. Disengagement from a struggle you should never have been involved in. A desperate attempt to resolve a matter without conflict. The use of cleverness or outright deception to turn the tide in your favor.
The card in the center represents the present status or challenge of the relationship.
Ten of Cups (Satiety): Fulfillment and joy in life and love. Feeling peace, tranquility, and contentment in friends and family. Taking delight in one’s good fortune.

The new look is very nice. Easy on the eyes with just the right touch of mystery.
The past is truly a strange, and sometimes cruel, bastard, I swear.
*hugs* I like the new look very much. Very nice! No matter how far behind you think that bastard past is, damn thing come backs and sticks a tongue in your face. But, hey, who knows what can happen with second chances granted?
Love and hugs

The new look is very cool – I like the blue feel and the electric theme.
The reading is very interesting. Apart from the Seven of Swords popping up, it almost looks like a strong argument for moving forward and taking a chance, but that one little fly in the ointment has a tendency to spoil the overall effect.
But that is my interpreting what you’ve relayed here. Knowing nothing of your past and doling out advice is fraught with danger, but, like I said, the cards intrigue me.
I think the question should be, whichever way forward you move, will life improve for you and yours? If, in all aspects, this is a yes, then go for it. If it’s a not really, then is it worth the effort? If it’s a not sure but it could be fun while it lasts, then probably not.
This is dear Abby signing off.
I hope everything works out wonderfully well for you in whatever you choose.
Thanks everyone!
BT – that seven is always mucking things up. LOL Seriously, though – as much as my heart tells me it’d probably be okay to make that step forward, my head tells me it’d be five steps back. But, that’s working on information I have that is six years old. I would hope that the other party has grown up and stopped self-destructing. *shrug*
Sticky, sticky spot.
