Pfffft.
If the girls posted anything on youtube or facebook or wherever that says I uh..had an emotional moment while watching my Christmas movie – they lie. *nodnod* yep. Lie.
I did not get all gooey over the first appearance of Little Ann and Old Dan, I did not giggle when Billy was training them with an old coon skin, I did not get all excited when he took them out on their first hunt.
I did not laugh when the bully fell on the axe. Okay, maybe I did.
I did not ooh and ahh over Little Ann and Old Dan when they left the three treed coons to go find Grandpa in the storm.
I did not start crying when the cougar attacked Billy because I knew what was going to happen.
I did not cry when Little Ann lay down on her brother’s grave and died of a broken heart.
I did not cry again when Billy found the red fern the next spring.
Nope. Not. One. Tear.
And I’m not doing it now, just remembering. x-P

I loved the book and the movie, and I always get misty-eyed over the ending.
I remember that movie! Very touching film.
We went to see it on a double feature mantinee with Charlotte’s Web one year. Cool beans. hehe I confess that I cried at the end of All Dogs Go to Heaven, and Edward Scissorhands. hehe
Love ya!~
Me xox
I believe you.
I loved the book and movie, too. Read it in school and think we watched the movie afterward. Always got to me, too. Even the so called ‘tough’ guys in school.
And Heidi never makes me cry.
Add The Waterhorse to that list of films I cried over. Yes, The Waterhorse (excellent film I recommend, although some might classify it as sappy). Since I’m so like Dad, and he cried over soap operas, I suppose this was inevitable. Yeesh. ;-D heh
