I don’t know if I’m up too late, or up too early anymore. This recent round of insomnia is stemming from a bit of stress via work, and I know it is. I just don’t know how to work around said stress and get back to sleep.
Nevertheless, I’m somewhat productive at least. I know what everyone says about CafePress, but I thought I’d give it a whirl again. I hate that they still don’t accept Paypal, but I’m hoping to finally get one of those plastic evils soon. So anyway, …
The world has stopped turning, right? Time kinda went still there for a moment. I think my heart stopped. Couldn’t the higher power have been busy on Friday? Couldn’t it have just strolled on by?
When I was six years old, I watched Exodus. I can’t really remember much, except for blue eyes. I followed those blue eyes from movie to movie the rest of my life. I was told once that no one had eyes like Paul Newman, but I knew someone that did. My grandfather’s eyes were just …
A journey into 33 years of madness and mayhem, of a carnal carnival of delights. Today, my friends, today is the 33rd anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
If you haven’t yet seen this movie, you are either very young, or extremely – devastatingly – in desperate need of a night out. In what is one of his best performances (as far as I’m concerned) Tim Curry plays the Transylvanian Transvestite, Dr. Frank-n-furter. He plays it to the hilt, pulling out all the stops, camping for the camera like …
Aaron Polson and Katey Taylor blessed the Bleed-zone with some really cool endorsements and I’m rather beyond humbled. Okay, I’ll use the word stunned – as always I’m shocked when people actually *read* the posts, let alone comment, and now – an award!
With the award comes a responsibility of sorts… there are rules. So of course, I’m gonna break ‘em just a tiny bit.
1) Add the logo of your award to your blog. (check)
2) Add a link to the person who awarded it to you. (check and check)
3) Nominate at …
Over the summer I was asked to write up a little something for Murder by 4, an amazing little blog set up by four authors – Aaron Paul Lazar, Kim Smith, Marta Stephens and S. W. Vaughn. I may or may not have read something by all of these folks, but I know I’ve read S.W. Vaughn’s work and I enjoy it thoroughly. Anyhoo, I agreed to guest blog, and then as the days passed into weeks, and weeks into nearly two months, my brain refused to cooperate. I was …
After a rough yesterday, and an all-nighter, I’ve decided to save the crashing until at least 1 PM. I need to get my sleep schedule back into some semblance of normalcy before too much longer, or SAD will sink in hard this year. Much as I like the idea of the UV lightbulbs, they hurt our eyes (mine and Care’s) and the two of us have enough migraines as is, thank-you-very-much.
Anyway, I have a couple of content edits and at least one copy edit to do this week, along with …
…along with a lot of other wonderful writers…
I’ve got comments, email and other stuff to catch up on, but that won’t be happening until very late tonight, or tomorrow. We’re going out for Rhia’s (belated) birthday dinner and *something* tonight. *something* may be shopping, but I dunno for sure. We’ll see what she wants to do.
