After the last virus issue, I swore I was not going to do anything else until the computer was clean. Since every other scan has been turning up something (ad virus thingies) I’ve been careful what I’m doing, and how.
Today I finished off the slush folder for Courting Morpheus – sent the rejections and the holding notices – all except two, but Kevin and Jeremy were invited authors, so they know they won’t get anything immediately. Except they read this, so now they’ll know.
Anyway, now that all that is done, …

From the BigBorg dude (Jason Sizemore) himself:
HebrewPunk by Lavie Tidhar (Preorders)
Allow me a moment to shill.
HebrewPunk by Lavie Tidhar is a collection of two short stories, one novelette, and one novella. The stories amount to 35,000 words of fiction. The title is a reflection of the sub-genre that Lavie is introducing to the world.
The Rabbi. The Tzaddik. The Rat. In HebrewPunk, Jewish mythology is mixed with fantastical and science fiction settings. It’s quite a unique combination.
“The Heist” is the first of the four stories. It introduces our Jewish heroes. I …

This week I said goodbye to a part of my career that I loved, but obviously needed to leave behind. I made some very good friends, some which are staying with me through the transition, and some that probably won’t. I haven’t had the courage to go back to the inbox to read what they’ve replied.
3Sides Literary Agency is officially closed.
There were many reasons why I made this decision, besides the obvious financial one. Despite best efforts to stay out of somebody’s crosshairs, I was right in it and a …

I was poking around my subs list yesterday, when I decided I needed to check up on some of these things. I mean, some have been out a long time and I’ve had no word. Since email is such a fickle mistress, I tend to browse the sites for my info…one site in particular, although I’m pretty sure I get their emails, since I’ve been rejected a couple of times. Nice rejections, but rejections none the less. (And no where near as nice as Tim’s, from Black Ink Horror – …

I can’t believe I’ve never done this for Interludes, my short published in the Echoes of Terror Anthology. So, here it is!

How often does it happen? How often would a woman totally lose her mind without anyone around her noticing? Particularly when she lives with two other people and interacts with at least a dozen others every day. And to top it off, she tells them, almost daily, that something just isn’t right, that it’s wrong. But she hadn’t seen anyone but him for so long… maybe they weren’t …

So, I haven’t been able to make this post for a while. Partly because my insides still hurt from the incident, and partly because the computer was taken over by a supposedly not-malicious but extremely frickin’ nasty virus. S’gone now, and s’good.
Provincials were slightly better than heartbreaking. It was hard to watch the girls play as badly as they did, until that last game. Our weekend was shadowed by the accident Rhia had on Friday night, in the pool at the hotel.
After having spent an hour sliding down the slide …

It’s been a shit of a summer, really. Baseball wasn’t nearly as good as it had been last year, and Rhia was so badly hurt at the hotel during provincials (I’ll be posting about it on my other blog sometime later today)… I’m coming to some serious decisions in regards to my career path due to unemployment except for 3Sides and some freelancing. Honestly, working on spec isn’t working out so well and I am the sole supporter of two teens. I digress…

Wow. Nearly ten days ago, Jeremy (Seffens) gave …
