250,000 words in a year. 20,834 words in a month – every month. I believe the post said 683 per day, or something close to that. Welcome to NaNoWriYe insanity! (hey, at least I didn’t sign up for the crazy word count club – 3,000,000!)
I wrote 900 yesterday. Absolutely nothing like I’d been pumping out during WriMo. Then again, I wrote a ton of other stuff too (newsletters) but I wasn’t counting that. Maybe I should…hmmm.
Do You Bleed?, Samhain’s Call and Gabriel Fell – these projects are going to get …
Wow, I didn’t think it’d been this long since I’d updated the blog. I’m actually a bit shocked and appalled.
Or something…
Anyhoo, the one thing I was being MUM about in the posts just before I went silent for the last three weeks was that the lawyer had called with a court date. Apparently the *DDD* had not responded to his summons (three in total, I believe – I’ve lost count) therefore he was placed in default, meaning we could proceed without him. And we did. Now, do I leave ya’ll …
Snagged from Incunabula because it livened my day, posted here with permission:
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. . .
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed …
Here a mo, there a mo…everywhere a mo mo.
And the sanity level here in the maw of chaos has slipped yet another percentage point or twenty. There are more mo things that have sprung from NaNoWriMo than I can count. At least on one hand. To that end, I’ve scrounged the links for FiMo, WaMo and EdMo. All beginning with NaNo of course; and then there’s the NaNoPubYe. I swear one of these days I’m gonna write a post in NaNoSpe (NaNoSpeak). Just to see how long it takes before …
The girls and I decided on an early Yule/Christmas present for our little family, and the oldest of my younger brothers helped them pay for it. Technically, the present is mine, but I share with the girls.
Pyewacket (Pye for short) is an almost four month old chocolate point Siamese kitten. He’s very cute – bright blue eyes, crossed most of the time, an extremely loud purr and naturally, being Siamese, he’s very mouthy. The only times he’s not making his presence known is when he’s sleeping, or trying to …
I did it, I did it, I did it!
50,000+ words in 17 days. And I was worried about doing 50,000 in 30 days…at one point I was averaging 5000 a day. Had I managed that, from day one ’til today, I’d have been finished completely, I’m sure.
But I’m done, at least for the requirements for NaNo. The story doesn’t seem to have an end in sight, and I do still have at least 2 people to kill. I’ve considered adding another few..ya know how it goes, toss in people from …
Snow Moon doesn’t necessarily have to mean blizzard does it? I can’t even fathom how many inches of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours, and we’ve got at least another 24 hours of it coming up.
School is closed today, as if a four-day weekend wasn’t bad enough.
At least some of the work I’ve been doing, studying Gwyddonics has begun to show some progress (and I’m going straight back to the beginning without passing GO. I need the refreshers). I’ve managed to clear out a lot of crap from …
