Something tugs at the heartstrings with this beautiful painting. Something in it reminds me of the Rose Madder novel, by Stephen King.

Setting: gritty industrial section of large city wasteland

Theme: gain-and-loss-of-fame / stolen identity

Setting: Current North America, a small, touristy town.
Theme: Kidnapping, thriller.
Main Characters: Future-obsessed man, a psychic astrologer, a head-of-state (president, prime minister, etc.), an agent (FBI, CIA, etc.), and a dog.

While the computer was down, I took a break and watched a lot of the British ‘dramady’ Shameless. Yes, there is an American version now, but until the end of the original, I’m sticking to this one.
