Discovery has announced that Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie (Deadliest Catch) has passed on at age 53.
The show just won’t be the same without Capt. Phil. He was the picture of what I’ve always figured north sea fishermen should be.
My heart goes out to the family – particularly the boys as they all seemed so close, even when bickering – and the crew of the Cornelia Marie.

I have strange ideas and odd plans at 3:30 AM. It’s now 4 AM, and here I am, giggling away like a mad woman, with the plot already in motion.
Just when I’ll find time to do my own writing is beyond me, but I do so enjoy the idea of throwing a lifesaver out onto the choppy waters of publishing…

Mochi 10/02 – 01/10
After a month of soul-searching and long goodbyes, our guinea pig, Mochi, crossed the Rainbow Bridge Saturday afternoon.

Last Monday I received a call from S., a dear friend and writing partner, one of the four who make up ‘Rhada McKai.’ He had what was probably the saddest news I’ve had in a very, very long time. One of our own, one of our four, had crossed the veil.
