The girls and I picked up the supplies for the chapbooks yesterday, along with the first printings of the covers for Litha and Lughnasadh. They look great! I can’t wait to get started…
Each chapbook will have Sabbat information, sample ritual, activity suggestions for kids, sample menu with recipes, crafts, youth-centered fiction and paper activities (coloring, picture search, etc.).
These two releases are our market test – should they go well, we may be submitting to a handful of publishers with the full chapbook series.

I’ve come upon a solution to my self-publishing/non-fiction problem. I’m not going to go through Lulu or Createspace for the trial runs. I’m going to do them myself.
I’ve got a freakishly good printer. I can have the covers printed relatively cost-effectively. I can bind them myself. I came upon this decision after working on one of the crafts, and simultaneously having my mail dropped on the desk. I think everyone knows that line, from whatever or wherever they may have come across it. It’s biblical in origin, but it has come to signify something beyond spirituality for me.
