We’re having issues with the images, so we’re expecting to be delayed at least until Friday.
The girls have done me proud, really. Rhia’s story is amusing and she left enough of a hook at the end to move it forward into Lughnasadh. Care’s coloring page is pretty darn good.
Now if I could just get it to lay out properly.

My flash story, It Never Lasts Forever, has been posted to the 52 Stitches collection.
It’s one of a very small handful I’ve ever done in first person, past-to-present tense.

The girls and I picked up the supplies for the chapbooks yesterday, along with the first printings of the covers for Litha and Lughnasadh. They look great! I can’t wait to get started…
Each chapbook will have Sabbat information, sample ritual, activity suggestions for kids, sample menu with recipes, crafts, youth-centered fiction and paper activities (coloring, picture search, etc.).
These two releases are our market test – should they go well, we may be submitting to a handful of publishers with the full chapbook series.

I’m seriously considering freezing the leftovers, although I’ve taken them out of the pan and put them on a plate… I’ve got a handful of freezer containers that they may fit in.

I’ve come upon a solution to my self-publishing/non-fiction problem. I’m not going to go through Lulu or Createspace for the trial runs. I’m going to do them myself.
I’ve got a freakishly good printer. I can have the covers printed relatively cost-effectively. I can bind them myself. I came upon this decision after working on one of the crafts, and simultaneously having my mail dropped on the desk.
