I’ve come upon a solution to my self-publishing/non-fiction problem. I’m not going to go through Lulu or Createspace for the trial runs. I’m going to do them myself.

I think everyone knows that line, from whatever or wherever they may have come across it. It’s biblical in origin, but it has come to signify something beyond spirituality for me. I’ve been trying to get a call through to either my aunt or my cousin in the last couple of days. They live around St. Adolphe/Isle Des Chenes respectively, and there’s been some disturbing shots of both places in the news lately. In fact, it was announced at some point that 800 people have been evacuated from the region.

I finished ten covers today.
Before you get all *gasp!*, it’s one design, five background colors and a text change. Basically, they’re all the same, and once I had my base design down, it was simply a matter of text change and background change.
The covers are for my little side-project that I’ve been doing the research for. Tomorrow I’ll be working on some of the research and the draft of the first issue, including rough sketches of craft designs. The girls, whether they know it or not, are being little slaves …
