Something Old, Something Blue
…and no, I’m not thinking wedding bells.
I’ve set a final deadline for the revisions to Samhain’s Call
(paranormal dark romance). I’ve only heard from one reader out of four,
so I’m only going to go with trev’s suggestions – and thank you,
wunnerful trev for the help! I knew the scene with the mock-up game
show was slow and little more than deadweight. It’s coming out, but I’m
having issues with finding something similar to go in there. My dahlin’
Louise has offered to read once it’s finished..and with our schedules
being what they are, I’ve decided September 1st. Yes, I said that last
year.

(/snip)
I’ve shelved Gabriel Fell until I feel like dealing with a whiny main
character. When you feel like you want to hit the characters – that’s
when you back out slowly and wait it out.
That’s the something old.
Something blue is the new piece. I’m not sure how it’s shaping up yet,
but it’s coming along. I don’t know why the blue comes into it, but it
does. It feels blue. It reads blue, if such a thing can be classified
into a color. I haven’t really been able to work on it too much, but it
seems like a nice little place (the setting) and the characters are
working me (as opposed to me working them, ya know?) and the munits are
being real chattery with ideas. Still though, blue? I don’t get it.
Wouldn’t surprise me if I’m thinking blue because the last two Apex
covers have been mainly blue…
I thought nothing would replace
Fish-Baby and Blood Baby, but damn…these last two were GOOOD!
And finally – if anyone reading this hasn’t signed up for my
newsletter, please do. It’s a cross-dressing little thing – covers some
pagan and some trade stuff, and the pdf version (when I do them) is
bigger and practically glossy. Think Nathan Lane in The Birdcage. He
could blossom into one striking woman, huh?
Shut up.
Yes, I’ve decided there is something seriously wrong with my head. I
figured out a way to turn The Birdcage into one kickass horror. And
then I forgot. This is why I should remember to put pen and journal
beside the bed at night. Seriously.

Where do you sign up for your newsletter??
Hey Jodi!
I’m still not getting over how comical it looks when we’re both here.. LOL
The newsletter page is linked to the YahooGroups image in the sidebar –> OR you can email a blank message to:
st-updates-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
I think you can sign up to groups without having a yahoo account.
Hahahahaha! Yeah, I know. I featured you in one of my posts and everyone was a little worried about there being two out there in the universe. Apparently, I am a lot for them to take!
Okay, I am going to try the Yahoo Group Thingy.
Woohoo! I did it! I used this quote: “Unfortunately my muse ran off with my fornit. They’re busy rearing some
butt-ugly little munits in the typewriter.”~Jodi Lee for my Myspace quote. No one else will probably get it, but I laughed my arse off!
Ya know, I noticed sometimes I comment on here and it doesn’t show up. I think you have little gremlins that are eating my comments.
Excellent – welcome to the newsletter! At some point this month I’ll be doing up a pdf version, too.
The Jodi Lees of the world are taking over…mwahahahaha!
Oh – about the comments, all comments are moderated. Sometimes it takes a while for me to get ‘em approved. Even mine are getting moderated now!
