Just my kinda place…

30 Days of Night is on its way to theatres, apparently releasing October 19th. There is an unfortunate casting of male lead (Josh Hartnett) but perhaps the female lead (Melissa George) will make up for it.
Every winter, a small town above the Arctic Circle in Alaska is in total darkness for 30 days. This year, something is coming out to feed…
While it almost sounds sortakinda similar to Pitch Black (minus the alien planet and aliens and hot anti-hero) it also almost sounds good. The graphic novel was wonderful, so… here’s to hoping Sam Raimi pulls off another production miracle.

Yeah, between this and Romero’s Diary of the Dead I’m pretty psyched about new Horror movies. About time they made original shite and not remakes even if 30 Days is based on the graphic novel.
As far as Harshnet goes I’m not that familiar with him, but sometimes a shite actor can pull off a decent job given the script and director. Keaunu Reeves sucks in everything, but he did good in A Scanner Darkly – so anything is possible.
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. ‘nough said.
You were just waiting, weren’t you? LOL
Hartnett was in Pearl Harbor with Afflicted. Er…Affleck. I can’t think of anything else he was in just now.
PS – Scanner Darkly is amazing. Robert Downey’s character was wonderful; the girls and I are always doing the “mur-dered” thing. And Rory Cochrane’s constant twitching and bug picking..
There’s something wrong with my kids and I..
