I absolutely hate that I made the rules for Courting Morpheus the way I did. I’m having difficulty choosing from the lucky inmates…er…writers that made it to the lock up…er…second round. I know Jeff is sitting there, drumming his fingers on his desk and mentally skewering me in his next short…I can tell. Settle down, ya’ll…it’s comin’.

So while I have CM sitting and stewing slowly on the back burner of my mental oven, I’m also laboring gently with the YA novel. I’ve got the main character to the point she’s broken into her boyfriend’s garage, gets caught by the boyfriend’s father, and finds out the deep dark family secret. She’s in shock or something, because she’s not saying anything. :-/ But, I have to get it done if I want to get it to the first reader, and then in to Delacourte by the end of December.

Meanwhile, I’m plodding away on the edit for Lachesis… it’s a doozy, but I’m going to get it done. AND I’ve requested the line editor test from Samhain Publishing. I’ve got nearly two weeks to finish that, but…I think I’ll work on it some tonight before I go to bed.

Then there’s the Apex stuff too, plus I’ve been working on the Editor Peeve article…. AND NaNo starts in just twenty days!

(did you hear that? that’s my sanity…it threw its hands in the air, huffed, and walked out. that thump and hollow echo was the door slamming….)

So, for the rest of this week, and possibly the rest of next – I’m going to attempt to do my best at not blogging and my best to stay away from Addicting Games. Let Sanity flounce off in a huff. It wasn’t much to begin with
