Whispers – Gettin’ in the Mood

Whispers is my steampunk slipstream sorta kinda half-assed fanish fiction. I don’t consider it fan fiction, because the only thing other than ambiance that comes from the game (the Thief series, if anyone knows what I’m talking about) are references to similar places. Maybe groups of people..

Wait, does that make it fan fiction? Crap. :-/ Well, I still don’t think this classifies as fan fiction. x-P

Anyway, to get into the mood for working on this WiP from 2006, I thought I’d watch some Thief-related material at Youtube. I found this clip… LOVE it!

    Hard to know what to call stuff, isn’t it? I’ve got a sort of fantasy/sci-fi/steampunk novel I’m about to start editing.

    I’ve been told anything in the specfic arena that crosses the genres/sub-genres should be called slipstream. I’m Canadian. That’s just too close to reminding me about all the ice out there…
