We Write Because…

16 April 2008 3 Comments

ITEM: We write because we must, because we are burdened day and night with stories that must be told. Sometimes, those tales, told to us by a muse that is often as much trickster as divine inspiration, get lost in the translation… We struggle to listen to that inner voice and convey what lies scattered there, on a field of battle strewn with the corpses of stories untold… Our hands move over the keyboard even as our minds reach for Valhalla.
Bob Freeman

Spoken so much more eloquently than I ever could have, Bob reminds me why I write, why I should write, why I have to write.

Now, if he could tell me how to pry the fornit off the muse and make them work together, instead of…uh…what it is they’re doing over there in the Royal all night. ;)

Not bad, but the word ‘burdened’ is too negative. Intoxicated sounds better IMO

Kevin – you’re right. When I actually do get an idea that works, and I work on it, I feel intoxicated. In the good way.. ;)

Jeff – ROFLMAO! Probably strip poker.. ;)
