Inspiration from a Master Storyteller
I love it when Keene gets a bug in his ear. Oh hell, I love it when he has time to post a blog or two so I have something informative and amusing to read while I drink coffee in the morning. Even if it’s just a post about watching TV with the baby (that one made me go ‘awwwww’), it makes coffee time, therefore the time before I really get into the slush pile/edit pile/inboxes, much better.
Now that I’ve asskissed a bit, let’s get on with it.
Time, and How to Make it
Quite often, aspiring writers will tell me all about the great novel they’re working on. They’ll talk of the 2,000 page outline they’ve written, the hours of research that have gone into it, and their plans for a full line of media tie-ins.When I ask them how much of it is actually written, they stare at me with expressions of shock and dismay.
