1 – attempting to use the 75 self-published short stories, novels and poetry chapbooks as a way to prove your professionalism

4 – whining
5 – using family/friends to try and get past the slush pile – I don’t care if you are friends with Stephen King and Peter Straub, if your writing sucks I’m gonna reject ya.
