Danserak helped out a lot with “Thirsty”, my rather gruesome futuristic tale of vampirism and genetic mutations. He was a good little fornit that week anyway – LOL – and it’s paid off. It’ll be in Issue #11 of Night to Dawn magazine – April 2007.

This is my first short horror sale. And I’m particularly proud of Thirsty….it was my first bash at a horror short since I don’t remember when, and I wrote the original version while talking to Mari on Y!M, and when I re-read it later, I couldn’t believe I’d written half of it. I literally didn’t recall doing it.

After some much needed suggestions from Mari and Jason Sizemore at Apex (thanks ya’ll, for reading it!) I did some editing. Since then, I’ve had a short critiqued through Writer Circle at Yahoogroups, and I took the advice for that story, and put it to use on Thirsty, doing more editing. Thus, the version I sent in to N2D was the third, and as they say – third time’s the charm!
