It’s coming up on three years since we picked up our little Pye, who soon turned into a very large Pye. I’d never had a Siamese of my own, and only admired others’ from afar. When the girls had the opportunity (and financial assistance from my brother) to get one for me for Yule in 2005, we jumped at it. Pye was only mine, of course, until we got home, where he almost immediately became Care’s. He loved us all, in his own way, but he was her best friend.

Ya’ll know Pye’s been gone for just about two years. He was only 18 months old when the incident happened. None of us, despite the menagerie we live in, can forget him. Bast tries hard to fill his crazy-kitten shoes, but even though she talks, she’s not him. Oh how very much alike they are, though… which is weird.

Anyway, tonight Poppy Brite posted pics of one of her new rescues, Winston. He’s some sort of mix, possibly Himalayan, maybe Balinese… Either way, he’s got points, and I suddenly missed Pye again. So, here’s a link for ya’ll to consider helping out when and if you can.
