Moving Forward, Glancing Backward

4 December 2006 3 Comments

For a year that was supposed to be so promising, I found 2006 full of technical obstacles, familial related issues and stumbling blocks that kept me from completing more of my goals. Personally professional goals, not related to 3Sides.

I didn’t complete as much of my own work as I’d hoped, and in fact many of the projects that were to be completed or begun and completed over the year haven’t been done. Samhain’s Call and Fire & Ice are the two biggies, although Interludes ranks right up there. Samhain’s Call has some time yet before the final draft needs to be completed, and I will be spending the last week of December doing that – deadline be damned. I’ve been considering publishers for it, but there is a workload here that needs attention first.

Anyway, backward glance aside, I’ve come up with my WiP list for 2007. These are my personal goals on already in progress novels or anthologies. There will be one major project for a certain company that comes up during 2007, but I can’t announce that until I have it banged out. ;) Stay tuned, in other words.

Works in Progress – 2007:
Gabriel Fell: 11463/80000
Blessed Eternity: 17213/80000
Whispers: 28057/80000
How to Date a Teenage Vampire: 2119/65000
Committing Syn: 23270/80000
Bleed: 58177/80000
Prompted: 46125/80000

This list isn’t in the order I’ll work on them, or in any particular order whatsoever really. But that’s what I’m onto in the coming year…

Michele – My brain won’t let me? I generally do end up focusing on just one project. This year it was Samhain’s Call for the most part, some Gabriel Fell and a great deal of Prompted (short stories built from prompts or comments someone has made). I’ll have to feel around to see where I’ll be focusing more in 2007.

    Mari – I knew you would be..LOL ;)
