Monday Coffee-Break

24 November 2008 No Comment

It was nice to wake up to no headache and no residual wonkiness for a change. I’ve managed to dive back into the editing briefly today, with only occasional trips out to the livingroom to scan the scene of the monumental cleaning session this past weekend.

Obviously, my own writing has not gone so well. I can tell; the frequency of the migraines, the nightmares and the acts of random tidying are increasing. I’ve given up on participation in NaNoWriMo this year. After all, there is only six days remaining, and I would have to write nearly 8k a day to get there. Honestly, at this point – I’d rather develop the story slowly anyway. I actually stopped trying a week and a half ago, when I realized I was throwing in a plot-momentum device that I can not stand, personally, when reading someone else’s work. When I pick it up again, I’ll delete that last paragraph, and it’ll be like it never happened.

I hope. I’ll always know it was there, and where it was, but hopefully any readers will never give it a second thought.

Meanwhile, I’ve read four novels and started into Jeremy Shipp’s Sheep and Wolves last night. I will catch up on my reviews and interviews by the end of December, and at least make those goals for the year. ;)

Once these three projects leave my desk, I’ll be back to a more normal schedule, here and elsewhere.

PS – My meez was the victim of a glitch a while back, and until they fix it, I can’t edit her. The Kerli outfit and background are the last edits I did on my own when I was hit with the bug involving anime eyes and more than one face. *shudder* If it comes down to it, I’ll end up losing all my coins and having to start from scratch… I can’t stand that damn anime face!
