Care Bear Countdown…

I am really a very sad Ebayer. If I get into anything that remotely looks like it might end up in a bidding war, I go… well, I go silly. ;)

Anyway, I’d found this lot of Care Bears, and I’ve won. From the looks of the image, they’re in absolutely mint condition, and are going to be a spectacular addition to the basket the girls and I are putting together for the local kids that lost their house in a fire earlier in the fall. They’re back at school here for now, and Rhia was just heartbroken for them. I think that lion (Braveheart? I think…) is gonna be perfect for the little boy.

I just can’t believe I won..LOL

(and yes, I am squeeing inside my head)

    My brother had that lion (I had the raccoon). You are gonna make some kid’s Christmas for sure. Awesome!

    I’m hoping that the little bit of Christmas we can give those kids will help them along a bit. I can only imagine what it’s like to lose everything like that. They’re so young, too.. I think the oldest is 7, maybe.

    And yeah, I can’t imagine either, especially at that age. Gotta love a time of year, no matter what religious or secular inspiration we have, that makes us do things like this!
