Interview and Review Series, Coming Soon

14 December 2008 2 Comments

As mentioned earlier, I’ll be doing an interview and review series via Associated Content. I realized that a lot of the review materials I’d been sent or bought are now pushing two years old, and while I’ve read the majority of them (mostly during July) I’ve yet to get the reviews done. There are probably a good thirty five books on that pile, could be more if I include all of the books I’ve bought in the last year, plus those I’ve taken out of the library.

I also realized that averaged out, I’ve read five books a week in 2008, not including slush for either publishing house, and not including the editing, first reading or blurbing.

And then I thought, I had a list of people I wanted to interview, but time killed that idea during a major slush run and now… well, now I’m not reading short slush anymore, and although my LBF slush and editing have doubled since last year, I found I had five minutes to re-write an old question list. I’ve revamped the list of potential names, and already have about twenty folks interested. I’ll probably be emailing another twenty or so tomorrow.

What I’m hoping is that I’ll be able to post a review, then an interview, then a review, etcetc. Interviews basically write themselves, it’s the reviews I’ll have to find time for. Christmas holidays sounds good to me, since Rhia will be back on the computer and monopolizing it for a good five hours a day… LOL.

So, if you are interested in an interview or review, or both – and you don’t hear from me by the end of the coming week, feel free to get in touch.

You’ve read 5 books a week in 2008. OMG! I am such a slow reader.

hehehe – when I was on bedrest during my pregnancy with Care, I read up to five Harlequin romances a day. Then again, those are all girl meets boy, falls in love, girl loses boy over some misunderstanding, boy comes back to her for happily ever after. There’s not really anything meaty to them.

Reading and typing are probably the only things I can do fast, so… ;) I practice. LOL
