I was just at Brian Keene’s blog and am still in shock. I keep waiting for someone to jump out and say Punk’d! but I know better.

Donald Westlake, author of more than 100 crime and science-fiction novels and screenplays (including under his pseudonyms of Richard Stark, Tucker Coe, Samuel Holt, Edwin West and others) passed away last night at the age of 75. According to his wife, Abigail, he collapsed on his way to New Year’s Eve dinner while on vacation in San Tancho, Mexico.
