Quick, before the next storm…

13 June 2007 No Comment

(oh, heck yeah, this is a mirror post!)

June is never a good month for me. The reasons are many and varied, and I have just grown to hate the month. I have to love the reasons, it’s the Manitoban genetic coding. Not to mention I get a huge energy rush from it all.

This year has been no different, o’course. We’ve had almost steady rains and storms for over a month – and I shut down the computer like a good little drone. That’s when I take my review pile to the other room, and settle in. Until the lights go out (remember, this house has very little access for natural lighting), at which point I just sit and stare into space, wiggling the pen back and forth over the page. Too bad there isn’t a market for that kind of doodle-art.

And then there are the evenings and weekends – often spent watching the girls play ball at games and tournaments. I’ve tucked review material and my 3Sides notes into my bag every away game, and get some work done, but often not as much as I’d like.

Meanwhile, my inboxes are flooding with “where are you?”, “what are you doing?”, “hello?” emails. I’m going to cheat and mass email everyone. Yes-everyone.

Remember family, friends, clients and ballteam people: I don’t email unless there’s something to say. No news is good news. Half the time I’m offline because I don’t want the wiring in this crappy old house to go ZOT! during one of our damn storms (and the house is sitting neatly between a giant pine tree and a giant old oak…) and have a repeat of last year.

So yes, I am busy at all things – just not online as much. By the end of July, everything’s back to normal…or at least what seems normal for me. ;)
