Geez, I was so excited about this, and then I go and forget to mention it.
I received an email from Giovanna Lagana (EIC of Lachesis Publishing) on Friday, letting me know that she and Carole Spencer (Publisher, owner of Lachesis) have decided to offer me a position as Junior Editor. Naturally my tiny subliminal self crawled into Gio’s shirt pocket and gazed up at her adoringly while nodding an acceptance enthusiastically.
I’s da newest editore laydee…
I’ll behave. I promise.

Ok, I’m quickly using the hotel computer to let everyone know I’m alive (and now sober) and the conventions are going well. I did KeyCon briefly yesterday, long enough to get my change of thingy done and make sure I could get into the social last night.
FUN…Next year, I’m doing KeyCon. hehehe…

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered some books from the local bookstore. I wanted to have ‘em on hand with me at the conferences May long weekend, because I intend to pester Kevin J. Anderson into signing them. And at least one copy of Apex 9.
Anyway, so I got the call that they were in, and I went over and picked ‘em up. Echoes of Terror had arrived as well – two copies – so naturally I had to check out the shelf. There they were. With little stickers …

The girls had their first game of the season tonight. It was a first in many, many ways.
First game of the season.
First game as a team (four new/returning girls)
First game as PeeWees instead of Squirts.
First time they’ve won the first game of the season, ever.
I know I’m not supposed to gloat (bad form) but these girls work hard on their skills, long practices and here in Manitoba that means practicing indoors during the winter months. But all the hard work the team has put in has paid off (14-9). Most …
