Elaborate plans were made for February, which have been just slightly sidetracked by a scattered household. Youngest is busy housesitting, which means our menagerie has decided that I’m their favorite person. When I’m home. I’ve escaped here and there. This week, I’ve got a few books for the writer in all of us, two of which tie in to the prompts posts that I do here every Thursday. Or, well… every Thursday when I’m not distracted by shiny 3D TVs.

So this post was supposed to go up last Friday, the 7th of February. Ooops! I’d gone on a mini-break, a stay-cay of sorts. As promised since, I’m using today to make up for it!

Love is in the air, right? Or should be, anyway. Instead of buying him/her flowers and chocolates and crap, why not take her/him out for a fantastic meal somewhere, and read a bit of romantic prose, a juicy poem, a heavenly haiku?
