Well, here it is, half-way through the year. I find it curious that I’ve been posting this much, since every other attempt at being somewhat regular has ended in a monumental failure, sometimes with no posts for months at a time. Like the other blog. Granted, I’ve not been feeling the need to kvetch quite as much the last few months, so I haven’t posted there at all.

I wish we had such beautiful displays here, it always seems to be too damp from rain, or too high humidity to get a really good display. Every year we hope for the best, though, and wish on the last one to go…

Before next week’s post, we’ll be celebrating Canada Day. I’m intending on celebrating it with some of the recipes below, served on fire-roasted hot dogs and with a few bottles of cold beer. And then maybe we’ll go looking for fireworks.
