I am extremely pleased with myself. If I had feathers, I’d ruffle them…
I just finished cutting 4100 words from a contest entry that started out somewhere around 4850. And the story still makes sense, and flows well. For those of you who don’t think editing like that can be done, think again.

For several reasons, I’m going to be away from the keyboard for a while. Ok, not exactly away from the keyboard, but away from the ‘net.
My kid’s doc was in an accident a while back, and didn’t survive. She’s been upset about that, and her disorder is spiking again. It’s been difficult, to put it mildly. I’ve fallen behind in my own work, not to mention client materials. My site host is moving servers again, and once that’s settled I hope I can clear up the bloody email problems.
