I really hate being emotional. I want desperately, sometimes, to just shut it all off; the ‘gift’ passed down our family line, the hiraeth (longing, in Welsh) I feel every day for so many things, the great and terrible sadness that doesn’t in fact, get better with time.

Rather than post a viewable size of the image on Facebook…which would be problematic, I decided to post it here. I think I’ve posted another version somewhere here, but I couldn’t find it. This one has all of the recently found faces circled as well, not just Gran’s. The mirror used to ‘live’ on the wall at the small landing at the top of the stairs in my grandparent’s old house.
